2015 The Confessor, Branham Vineyard, Rockpile
The confessor is a wine of outstanding lineage. It recognizes the venerated family history of winemaker Dan Barwick. His family records date back to Robert de Dene (1042 to 1088), who was wine steward to Edward the Confessor, King of England. We honor this family ancestry with a Rhone inspired blend from the Branham Vineyard, which harvests its fruit from the most remote reaches of the esteemed Rockpile AVA. This is a wine with intense yet sophisticated characteristics, perfect for it’s regal namesake.
This wine has unknown volumes of Syrah, Grenache and Petit Sirah (I know, not a Rhone grape, but is a half-sister to Syrah).
Only 6 barrels produced.
Pairs with Grilled Tri-tip with Syrah-Pomegranate Glaze created by renowned Chef Bruce Riezenman, owner of Park Avenue Catering, Park 121 and the Pair it!! app
A visit to Paradise Ridge Winery in the daytime is lovely. On summer nights with the view and the sunset, it’s a special treat
Thank you for providing an amazing place for us to have our wedding. We had an incredible time and the wines were delicious. Thanks for making the planning so easy, everything was just perfect.
You are most gracious, I am tempted to say that Paradise Ridge Winery’s customer service is as phenomenal as its wine, but I can’t drink your wonderful customer service. You’ve won a lover of fine wines future business. Thank you again
Our June wedding was simply a dream come true. We will forever be grateful for your kind hospitality. Paradise Ridge will be a special destination for us forever.
Paradise Ridge is a haven where locals and visitors come to savor the wonderful wines, bring their friends, and take in breathtaking views of the Russian River Valley vineyards and far beyond.
Visitors are encouraged to wander down from the tasting room and then meander in no particular order among natural paths lined only in low fieldstones smothered with moss.
Everything was flawlessly executed and surpassed our expectations… The wine was outstanding; the venue was beautiful and intimate, both inside and outside; and the ambiance lent itself to the best wedding, reception, dinner, and party in the history of mankind.
The view from the terrace is like a painting, layered with greens and golds, gradually blending into deeper earth tones and finally fading to hazy purple hues at the horizon.
This Sliver of Sonoma Paradise delivers a dose of art, history, nature and fine wines in one stop
A case of Paradise Ridge wine is like winning the million dollar jackpot lottery
